Lobster House and champagne bar opening by Wandsworth Park

lobsterhouseSouth Londoners are about to get a new seafood fix when new restaurant Lobster House opens next week. Opening as part of the Point Pleasant development to the east of Wandsworth Park and right by the river Lobster House will (as you could probably guess) focus on seafood as well as a few key meaty dishes. So expect lobster rolls, New England clam chowder, salt beef sandwich, Wagyu burgers and 24-hour slow cooked beef ribs.

The building (which used to be The Ferm) has been renovated to make the most of the river views both upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs will have a more fine dining feel while downstairs will be more of a casual spot. Both have room for 50 diners.

And, once the weather improves, we're sure there'll be plenty of interest in their champagne bar on a private pontoon overlooking the river. That'll be available for both private parties and casual diners and serve a range of champagnes and wines.

Lobster House opens Monday 10 February 2014 at 94 Point Pleasant, London, SW18 1PR. It will be open six and a half days a week, closing on Sunday afternoons. To book, call 020 8871 1226.
