You may not know that Lincoln's Inn Fields is London's biggest public square, but a new restaurant and bar will be making the most of its surroundings when it opens there this summer.
The Fields Bar & Kitchen is being opened on the site of the former Terrace restaurant by the Benugo group who also run the Serpentine Bar & Kitchen in Hyde Park and The Riverfront at BFI Southbank.
The new all day restaurant will feature a brand new dining room with 64 covers where you can opt for table service or serve yourself. Breakfast (available 8am-10.30am will feature English classics, such as Eggs Benedict (£7.95) or ‘Porridge with maple syrup and star anise poached plums (£5.50).
The main menu will include a range of 12” flat breads and pizzas, as well as five different burgers and five salads to choose from including rare Roast Beef (£5.45) and Prawn & Crayfish (£5.95).
And, should the British summer ever play ball, we expect the terrace with seating for 24 will prove popular with diners or locals fancying a quick drink after work.
Fields Bar & Kitchen will open in July 2012. In the summer, opening hours will be from 8am to 9pm, and in winter 8am to 3.30pm.
