James Ramsden throws London's first supperclub for children

The very idea of taking children to restaurants is enough to make some people froth at the mouth. Trouble is, how do you teach kids to try new things and behave well in restaurants if you don't bring them out every once in a while?

Happily North London supper club thrower (and new Evening Standard columnist) James Ramsden seems to think he's man enough to invite a bunch of ankle-biters (and their parents) to a very special supperclub. He can't claim complete credit for the idea - that came courtesy of fellow food blogger Signe Johansen who suggested it - but it's James who's come up with the theme and menu which he describes as 'Roald Dahl – snozzcumbers, Bruce Bogtrotter’s chocolate cake, that sort of thing.' Although he does go on to add; 'I might regret this.'

If you'd like to join them, the party starts early on Saturday 3 September at 5.30pm. It costs £20 a head and you can find out more, including how to book, on James's blog.
