Possibly one of the most prolific restaurateurs in London at the moment, Russell Norman (the man behind Polpo, Polpetto, Spuntino and Da Polpo) is already thinking about what's next.
In an interview with Bruce Palling for the Wall Street Journal, Norman is quizzed about his upcoming plans. Although, as Palling notes, he doesn't give much away it looks like we can expect something different next time around: "It won't be an accident, and it will be completely different again; not Venetian- or New York-inspired, and not small plates. The site always dictates what you do.".
He does, however, let it drop that he could be looking at Shoreditch if the right site presents itself, an area surely ripe for a Norman joint.
