If you're starting to get a little irritated (or plain jealous) reading all the critics' glowing reviews for Dinner by Heston when you despair of ever getting hold of a table there, we think may have found an answer.
According to a Hot Dinners' mole eating at Dinner last week, there's been a conscious decision taken by the Mandarin Oriental not to turn tables yet. So anyone who has an early dinner reservation won't have anyone booked to take over their table when they leave.
What that means in practice, is that if you turn up around 9-ish on the off-chance, you may get lucky with a table. So while that's not a given, it may be the best chance you'll get of trying the fabled meat fruit or tipsy pudding this side of summer.
