As anyone who lives or works in Kentish Town will tell you, it's a bit of a wasteland when it comes to decent places to eat out, so Hot Dinners was pleased to spot a promising new opening in the triangle between Highgate and Fortress roads.
Hazraj bills itself as a Chai Latte house and juice bar, but once inside the tardis-like interior it's obvious that there's quite a bit more to it than that. Open from 8am to 11pm it serves up everything from morning coffees and pastries to hot lunches and light bites.
For a reasonable £5.95 you can put together tiffin boxes and they also serve up two types of the Mumbai street snack chaat, a pani puri and aloo papri chaat as well as chutney wraps and salads.
The owner's family apparently have a string of Indian restaurants in town and used to own the now-closed Last Days of the Raj on Drury Lane.
