Hammersmith's Thatched House starts series of special pop-up dinners

Hammersmith's Thatched House starts series of special pop-up dinnersThe Thatched House in Hammersmith is a sister pub of the much-lauded Ship in Wandsworth, and since its opening has been pretty quick to feel the love of food-obsessed Londoners.

For 2013, they're going to kick off a series of pop-up events throughout January and February and they've got a pretty impressive line up. We're revealing the full list exclusively on Hot Dinners...

  • 21st and 22nd January – Tim Anderson.
The MasterChef winner will be showcasing food from his upcoming restaurant Namban. (Alas, this one's already sold out).
  • 4th February – Ben Tish and Ben Mulock
The duo from Salt Yard and Opera Tavern will be putting together an Indian banquet, quite a departure from their normal fair (tickets on sale now)
  • 9th February – Nathan Richardson
The assistant manager at the Ship (and former chef) will be cooking beef fillet and foie gras ‘ravioli’, along with roasted scallops, crispy mussels, seaweed, and coral and bacon mousse. (tickets on sale now)
  • 11th February – Tom Oldroyd
The Group Head chef of Polpo is still confirming details of the menu and this will be a rare chance to see him away from Russell Norman's joints (tickets on sale soon)
  • 18th February – Shelina Permalloo
The 2012 MasterChef winner's cooking is greatly influenced by her Mauritian background, so expect some rich flavours and warm spices on the menu. (tickets on sale soon)
  • 25th February – Grant Hawthorne
He's a highly respected chef whose cooking style, in his own words, combines the best of the New World with the attention to detail of the Old and whose menu should reflect his South African roots. (tickets on sale soon).

And finally - in April, there will be the Blogger Takeover. This is being put together in conjunction with TwelvePointFivePercent's Hugh Wright who'll be inviting a select group of food bloggers to the Thatched House to cook a meal, with each blogger preparing one course. Exact dates for this one currently being finalised.

For more details on The Thatched, head over to their website. And make sure to follow us on Twitter and we'll let you know as soon as tickets go on sale.
