If you'd like to broaden your food horizons you could do worse than trekking to Excel later this month for the Halal Food Festival. Over 100 exhibitors including several of London's top chefs will showcase new halal food and drink products for three days.
Vivek Singh and Abdul Yaseen, the Head Chef at Vivek's Cinnamon Kitchen will be serving up green spiced chicken fenugreek and Bengali mutton from their new Indian street food stall Joho Soho which is being launched at the festival. There'll also be a live demo kitchen featuring Masterchef winner Shelina Permalloo, Cyrus Todiwala OBE (Patron Chef of Cafe Spice Namaste) and Jean Christophe Novelli, among others.
