Head back in time next weekend when King's Cross turns back the clock for a two Victoriana festival. King's Cross journeys promises visitors a gritty experience with "everyone from chimney sweeps and Beadles to Clairvoyants in sideshow tents and street magicians".
As you'd expect, there's a large food element which will be curated by the folks at The Gilbert Scott. They'll be hosting two popups in Granary Square and King's Cross Square over the weekend.
The Gilbert Parlour will be serving up fabulous choc ices with Peanut Butter, Kendal Mint Cake and Eton Mess flavours and Salted Caramel and Toasted Marshmallow ice cream pots. They'll also have soda floats on offer - Elderflower Fizz with milk ice cream and Espresso Fizz with salted caramel ice cream.
If you're after something a little stronger, Gilbert's Gin Garden in Granary Square will be mixing up cocktails including GinStock's winning Meadow Sweet Cocktail (pictured), The Gilbert Scott’s signature 1873 Cocktail and a classic Bottled Negroni.
Gin Garden and Gilbert Parlour will run at King's Cross from Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th September, 11am-6pm. For more information on events that weekend go to www.kingscross.co.uk/journeys
