German Gymnasium gets the Oktoberfest spirit in September

In King's Cross, German Gymnasium is playing up to its name and getting into the spirit of all things Oktoberfest, kicking things off early in September. So waiters will be in traditional dress, including lederhosen and dirndls - and it'll all be taking place on the restaurant's terrace. Drinks-wise, beer is naturally the main attraction and they've teamed up with Black Forest Beers for some naturally unpasteurised beers including Fest Bier, Rothaus Märzen, Rothaus Hefeweizen and Rothaus Pils.

Food-wise, the main attraction is the "Oktoberfest Feast"‘ a sharing platter including Nürnberger bratwurst and Leberkäs Semmel, a Bavarian meat loaf roll. There will also be the Giant Curry Dog, with a curry-infused pork sausage and the buttered giant Brezel, a German pretzel.

Oktoberfest at the German Gymnasium runs every day from 4pm – 11pm on the terrace, from Friday 16 September to Sunday 2 October at 1 Kings Boulevard, Kings Cross, London N1C 4BU. For more, follow them on Twitter @thegermangym.
