GAIL's Bakery to open an ice cream sandwich pop-up

When we visited GAIL's Kitchen, one of the things that really stood out for us was their amazing brioche ice-cream sandwich, so we're particularly pleased to hear about their upcoming pop up ice-cream sandwich shop in Soho.

The latest in what seems to be a late-summer trend of pudding bars in London, it'll be running at their bakery on Wardour Street from 20 until the end of August. On offer will be:

  • Cinnamon brioche toast, vanilla bean ice cream, caramel or chocolate fudge sauce and salted peanuts
  • Cinnamon brioche toast, crème fraiche ice cream, mixed berries and raspberry coulis
  • And baker Roy Levy's favourite - fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, toasted pistachio ice cream, sour cherry compote, fresh cherries and chopped pistachios.

The ice cream sandwiches will be £6 each, and if you haven't tried one at GAIL's Kitchen then we highly recommend popping in for one at the pop-up. Alongside the ice cream there will be coffee and hot chocolate too (no booze) and they'll also have DJ Morgan Cannon on hand for tunes.

The GAIL's Ice Cream Sandwich Pop-Up runs from 20 - 30 August, Wednesday - Saturday only from 7-10pm at 128 Wardour Street London W1F 8ZL. For more information, follow them on Twitter  @GAILsBakery.
