Here at Hot Dinners we’ve always maintained that one positive thing about snowy, icy weather is that it’s the perfect time to secure a table at normally hard-to-get-into restaurants. That said, we were a little thrown off by Russell Norman, owner of Polpo, who tweeted last night that he was ‘rammed...thought everyone would go home. They came here instead.’
So if Polpo is turning them away, which of London’s top restaurants can you get a table at in times of wintry crisis? We did a quick call round this morning to see where we could go for dinner tonight and got these results.
- The Ivy could do us a table for two at 9pm.
- Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley could seat two for dinner at 8.45.
- Hix could do us a table for two at 8pm
- Le Gavroche were happy to find us a spot for two at 8
- And finally, The River cafe had space for two for dinner at 8 this evening.
So what are you waiting for? If you’re not on South-East Trains network and can actually move around the city today, get on the blower and sort yourself out with a slap-up meal somewhere great tonight.
