As the dust settles on his announcement earlier this year to shut El Bulli for two years, Ferran Adria this morning announced that he'll be opening a pop-up, tapas-style restaurant in central London.
'There's only so much apple caviar or frozen chocolate air you can do before you want to simplify things and just make a decent tortilla,' Adria told Hot Dinners. 'I just want to sit in my kitchen, open a bottle of beer and serve simple Spanish fare.'
Adria has already identified a site with contracts being arranged by his business partner Pilar Lofo.
