High-rise dining in London has come a long way in the past few years and the restaurant that is arguably still leading the way is Duck & Waffle, with chef Daniel Doherty at the helm. It just celebrated its second birthday as well as launching Dan's first cookbook, which provided us with a great opportunity to go back and see what's currently on offer 40 floors above Bishopsgate.
You can see the full lowdown of everything we happily tore our way through in the gallery below. There was a lot of foie gras on show, that's for sure - the foie gras creme brulée was particularly impressive but the tuna with shaved foie gras was the winner (that's it in the photo above). And that Scotch Bhadji (see below) was undeniably excellent - a must-order. All of it shows that Doherty is a man at the top of his game and the Duck & Waffle cookbook should be on your list for Santa this year.
And keep an eye out for Dan on Saturday Kitchen tomorrow morning to see just how well he does in the Omelette Challenge...
