The people behind popular Soho spot Duck Soup are planning to open their second restaurant this Summer.
Rawduck, an offshoot of Ducksoup, will open around the end of June in Hackney. As Hot Dinners understands it, the new venture will be a wine shop-come-bar with coffee and breakfast (and a mean weekend brunch menu), lunch and cake, small plates and wine.
The 8 til noon menu features a prosciutto and ricotta Hackney Bun or salmon & curd toasts while the 12 noon menu includes The Reuben - pastrami, saurkraut, melted swiss and wasabi mayo and the ‘Dirty Bird’ - chilli roast chicken, iceberg & Jalapeno mayo sandwich or the classic avocado on rye with coriander, lime and chilli.
Later in the day from 5pm there might be raw chopped beef, shaved radish, sriacha & parmesan or bottarga and mozzarella, crème friache and San Danielle and garlic sourdough crumbs. Plus there'll be the usual natural and bio-dynamic wines to drink in or take away.
Wine and food events in the basement will follow later this summer.
