We've seen quite a few pub takeovers and residencies recently - but this latest is a DOUBLE residency as Dogtown hot-dogs and Slap & Pickle burgers both head for the same menu at the King & Co.
That menu will let you choose either a burger or hot dog and then tart it up with the sauce of your choice. Those include American (sweet dill pickle and house sauce), Mexican (chuck steak chilli, beer-cheese sauce, sour cream, coriander and pickled chillies) and Indian (mango ketchup and lime pickle). Alongside those are sides including beer-battered pickles, corndog “pups” with Sriracha mayo, beer-cheese fries and Nduja mac & cheese.
And they'll have a special brunch menu too, including poached eggs on sourdough toast with smoked salmon and bacon cured by Slap & Pickle head chef Ed Jones - as well as shakshouka and American pancakes (plus bottomless Bloody Marys to get you through the weekend).
