Deep-fried Mars Bars and more at Dram & Smoke's Scottish pop up in Vauxhall

dram

Yes this picture of venison haunch with a light pearl barley salad and bramble dressing does look rather fabulous doesn't it? But for us, that's not the selling point of new summer pop-up Dram & Smoke. Not by a long shot. That comes in the dessert section in the worlds Deep Fried Mars Bar. Yes that's what we're all about.

If you are interested in learning more, the venture aims to showcase the best of Scottish produce - so that's venison, great seafood, whisky cocktails and beer.

For £40 ticket you'll get a cocktail on arrival and an Innis & Gunn beer served alongside the vension. There'll also be haggis bon bons, potted smoked mackerel, and a creamy Cullen Skink soup shooter. And then the piece de resistance - the deep fried Mars Bar served with shortbread ice cream and Irn Bru.

Set in a working steelyard in Vauxhall Dram & Smoke will be popping up just around the corner from Vauxhall tube station every Friday and Saturday from 7.30pm and on Sundays from 2pm. The pop up begins on 23 May and runs until 6 July with one week off (20-22 June)
