Creme Egg pop-up cafe hits Soho for seven weeks

Creme Egg pop-up cafe hits Soho for seven weeks

Yes, this week sees the start of the run up to Easter (it's VERY early this year, on March 27). And that, as ever, sees Cadbury's going on a Creme Egg offensive (much of which will be to win back the public that's none too pleased that the chocolate in the egg is no longer Dairy Milk). So they're launching the pop-up Creme Egg Cafe.

You might expect this to be a small affair but it's - surprisingly - across three floors. The main part of that is a cafe featuring these (all £4 including tea or coffee):

  • Creme Egg Toastie – toast, sandwiched together with a Creme Egg (also available to take away for £2)
  • Egg & soldiers – a Creme Egg, cracked open and served with golden toast for dipping
  • Creme Egg Tray Bake – chocolate cake, with Creme Eggs added in
  • Strawberries and Creme (Egg) – strawberries with a Mini Creme Egg

They'll have a ball pool on the third floor, the one thing that won't have any actual Creme Eggs in it. We hope.

The Cafe starts on 22 January and lasts until 6 March. You can reserve a table from 19 January via their Facebook page - and if the recent Magnum pop-up is anything to go by, this will be very popular. Even without the Dairy Milk.

The Creme Egg Cafe runs from 22 January until 6 March at 26 Greek St, Soho, London W1D 5DE.
