Chase Distillery have been making a name for themselves recently, not least for their marmalade vodka. And soon they're coming to town with a new terrace bar in Harvey Nichols. The idea is to evoke the lovely Herefordshire countryside that the vodka's made in, whilst sitting high above the Knightsbridge traffic. To that end, they're cunningly going to blast the terrace with Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet to scent the air.
The new terrace will have a similarly new range of cocktails including the Marmalade Root Martini (using the aforementioned Chase Marmalade Vodka shaken with fresh carrot juice, fresh parsley and lemon, with a dash of honey), Gooseflower Fizz (Chase vodka combined with Chase Elderflower Liqueur, Harvey Nichols Gooseberry Jam, lemon and honey topped with English Sparkling Wine) and a range of summer fruit cups and Chase Perfect Serves.
There will, of course, be some food available with a Tasting Menu paired with the cocktails. Or you can try the mini tasting dishes such as a traditional Waldorf Salad, Lemony Devon chicken served with sweet corn and bell peppers on sourdough bread and a Marmalade marinated Gressingham duck breast with crispy shallots. Alongside this is a ‘best of British’ sharing platter that includes Alderton marmalade ham, Honey cured Dorset ham, Harvey Nichols mini pork pies, Scotch quail eggs, Cornish Yarg cheese, Lincolnshire Cheddar and English mustard.
For sweet tooths, a trio of miniature desserts are also available with Dark chocolate and marmalade cake, Lemon curd tart and Bramley apple and elderflower crumble.
The Chase And Country Tails Terrace at Fifth Floor Harvey Nichols will be open from Monday, 4th June to Sunday 15th July 2012.
