Over in Soho, BGRG on Wardour Street has taken the burger craze in a whole new direction with the Dessurger. It's their take on the cronut craze and features a sugar coated brioche bun with vanilla parfait and pistachio praline patty and blackberry jam, Chantilly cream and lemon posset custard instead of ketchup and mustard.

 

 

Frieze London's pop-up restaurants and bars

Contemporary art market Frieze and Frieze Masters (17-20 October) always likes to pair art with some cracking places to eat and this year's exhibition continues the trend. Frieze Masters features a popup a la carte restaurant by Locanda Locatelli and an a la carte restaurant and bar by Umu. While Frieze itself will have Caravan serving up favourites from its brunch and all day restaurant menus as well as running a bespoke menu for the event. Outside on the deck overlooking Regents Park, Pitt Cue Co. will be serving pulled pork buns, craft beers and picklebacks.

Byron launch Mo 'Shroom burger for Movember

As staunch supporters of Movember, Byron are once again issuing a special burger for the month. The Mo ’Shroom is a 6 oz. hamburger with sliced Portobello mushroom and Emmenthal cheese, streaky bacon, shredded iceberg, red onion and cep aioli. It will be available at all Byron restaurants throughout November and 50p from every £9.95 burger will go to the charity.

Chef fight - Rumble at Tom's Deli

Also in November, restaurateur Tom Conran is teaming up with the folks behind Mile High, Shuttlecock-Inc for a month long event, Rumble at the Deli. Launching at Tom’s Deli in Westbourne Grove on November 7th and running from Thurs-Sat till the end of the November every night two chefs wil go head to head competing over who can create the best 3 course meal from ingredients selected fresh from the local market each morning. Chefs from restaruants as diverse as Trullo and St John to Dinner by Heston will be taking part.

And another November treat is in store for steak lovers at Danish steakhouse MASH. To celebrate their 1st birthday, they are offering 50% off all steaks for five days only from Sunday 3rd to Thursday 7th November. Kerb launches pilot market in Maida Hill Place

And finally...everyone's favourite street food collaborative Kerb is heading west this weekend with a new Saturday pilot market on Maida Hill Place from now until Christmas. Saturday 12th October sees 12 traders taking part from 10am to 3pm including Kimchinary and You Doughnut.
