The Burger and Lobster train rolls on and it's slowly becoming one of London's favourite chain restaurants (which we loved from the start). This time, they're opening their first proper City branch at St Paul's on Bread Street, just opposite Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen.
It's taken over an old Le Pain Quotidien and this B&L is notable for not actually having a huge lobster tank in the basement (lobsters will be provided by the Farringdon branch). Otherwise, the set-up will be very familiar if you've been to any of the other branches in Mayfair, Soho or Farringdon. There's a largish bar area where you can wait to be seated (an they should be serving food there too, if you can grab a stool) and a mixture of booths and tables in the main restaurant which will seat around 100.
Food is the same as ever - lobster & chips, lobster roll & chips, burger & chips all at £20 each. Plus there will be loads of beer, wine and cocktails to wash them down with. They'll also be offering the larger lobsters which we're sure the city folk will be snapping up.
Burger and Lobster Bread Street opens on January 9th, and will then be open Monday - Friday from 12-10.30pm.
