Bonhams Restaurant is already proving to be an incredibly popular lunchspot since it opened (see our Test Drive here). But its limited opening hours (just breakfast and lunch) prevented many of you, whose jobs don't allow for midday sit down scoffing, the opportunity to try chef Tom Kemble's work.
From this week though, they'll be running a Thursday evening supperclub. Dinner will kick off at 7pm with last orders at 8.30pm. There'll be a £45 four course set menu and, if your budget allows, we'd highly recommend pushing the boat out to include the wine pairing by sommelier Charlotte Edgecombe at £35 a head.
We've had a sneak preview of this week's menu and it includes cod tempura with oyster mayonnaise and seaweed, Provençale asparagus with poached pheasant egg and watercress sabayon and Cumbrian rack of lamb and slow cooked shoulder with fricassee of peas, broad beans and wild garlic, red pepper and Jersey royals.
The restaurant will be open on Thursday evenings to parties of two to four and you can access it through the entrance on Haunch of Venison Yard, off Brook Street.
Bonhams is at 101 New Bond Street, London W1S 1SR. Bookings are now open and can be made at reservations@bonhams.com
