There's a new Mediterranean restaurant coming to Marylebone this month, and it's from the man who set up 28:50 and Texture, Xavier Rousset. Here's what you can expect from the place...
The Mediterranean menu will have Italian influences. Dishes will include:
- Carpaccio of fassone beef and 36 month old parmesan
- Sicilian red prawns;
- Duck breast with tortellini of leg and figs.
- Fassone cote boeuf, with confit new season garlic and red wine jus
Given Rousset's love of wine, expect it to be a big thing here too. They'll have 250 wines and 50 champagnes to start with, and the wine list will be ever-evolving. So much so that they'll be actively looking for customers' input on what should be on the list. They planning to feature wines from South West France, Campania and many more regions.
And there will be free monthly wine tastings. Held on Saturdays, they'll be tasting 12-14 wines and you'll be choosing the favourite two white and two red wines which will be added to the restaurant’s wine list for one month.
The restaurant will seat 40, and is centred around a bar. It'll be open seven days a week - so a Sunday lunch menu is planned too.
