Everyone's talking about the swanky new concourse at King's Cross station, so why don't you make a trip to look at the architectural wonder (Europe’s largest single span station structure apparently) and take in breakfast at Benito's Hat as well?
The King's Cross Benito's Hat, which opens on Sunday 18 March, will be the first to serve up a breakfast menu - and dishes will include a Burrita – 10" tortilla filled with eggs, beans and your choice of toppings (£3.60), Tacos – 6" tortilla filled with eggs and your choice of toppings (£2.10), Mollete – Beans, melted cheese and pico on a small roll (£1.95) and Beni's Big Burrito – Eggs, refried beans, bacon, cheese, pico, sour cream and salsa but in a 12" burrito (£4.90). In all cases you can have your eggs plain, with chorizo, with ham or vegetarian. Or throw caution to the wind and add bacon or sauteed potatoes.
To wash it all down, ask for a Café de olla – Mexican coffee made with fresh ground coffee, cinnamon sticks and brown sugar or try a lime and agave tea.
Best of all, there's 50% off all food on the opening Sunday.
Benito's Hat King's Cross is open Monday to Saturday 7am – 11pm Sunday 9am – 10pm.
