Opening up in Camden in just a few weeks time is Bayou - an all day Creole restaurant. Here's what you need to know about it.
What you need to know about Bayou
It's a mixture of cuisines: They say their food is from the Bayou country, closely associated with Creole culture, so expect a mix of Southern American cuisine with French, Spanish, Italian and African influences.
Soul food central: Expect to find po’ boy sandwiches deep filled with roast beef and debris gravy, smoked chicken wings and Bayou beef croquettes as well as ribs (smoked on-site), crispy buttermilk chicken and crayfish gumbo.
Open till late: There's a late night food menu or you just can just enjoy a drink at the bar
Beer and cocktails: there'll be plenty of bourbon on the list as well as a “Proud Mary” with Mezcal, tomato juice, cucumber and dill. Beers include a range of boutique American lagers
Music too: the restaurant will also feature live music in the evenings.
Bayou is in soft launch from 11-16 July and then opens officially at 20 Inverness Street, Camden, NW1 7HJ Twitter: @bayoucamden
