Now we're big fans of Bar Boulud - and are curious to see what will emerge from its upcoming revamp at the Mandarin Oriental. But if you're worried on missing out on a Bar Boulud burger while it's closed, worry not. Harrods will be housing a Bar Boulud pop-up this January, who’ll be serving up their traditional French food and burgers while its original venue undergoes the facelift.
Normally found in the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, Bar Boulud’s new home will seem them temporarily settling into the heart of Harrod’s Food hall. It’ll be throughout mid-to-late January, right in the middle of the sales, so if you’re the kind of person who heads to Harrods for a spot of bargain hunting, then you’ll have yet another worthy contender for a refuelling point.
On the menu, you’ll be able to choose from many of Bar Boulud’s classic dishes like Dover sole, moules a la creme, and a healthy selection of burgers. Afterwards, there’ll be a range of petit sucres for dessert, including freshly baked madeleines and macarons. Naturally, there’ll be a wine list with plenty of vin Francais to choose from, as well as cocktails like the White Cosmopolitan or the Venezuelan Old Fashion. If you stop by on the 18 and 19 January, you’ll also be able to see Chef Daniel Boulud in the kitchen.
The Bar Boulud pop-up will be open from 9 - 29 January in the Harrods Food Hall, 87-135 Brompton Rd, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7XL. Opening hours will be from 12-8pm. As a special treat catch Daniel Boulud there on 18 and 19 January. Follow Bar Boulud on Twitter @barbouludlondon.
