Bar Boulud introduces Sunday brunch and a new Brunch Burger

brunchburger

New Year. New burger. This rather decent looking patty is what's going on the menu at Bar Boulud in Knightsbridge as they introduce a Sunday brunch menu from January. They'll be opening earlier than usual to serve a prix-fixe brunch for £39. For that you'll get a welcome aperitif of either fruit or vegetable juices or something a little stronger like a Bloody Mary or Bucks Fizz.

Starters are chosen from a buffet including their famous home-made charcuterie. For mains there's classic brunch dishes like duck hash along with others like Croque Monsieur or Croque Madame. And we're most taken with the idea of a dessert station stacked with Belgian waffles, éclairs, pecan brownies and chocolate mousse.

But, what you'll probably most want to know about is the debut of the Brunch Burger. This will be a grilled beef patty with streaky bacon, and cheddar cheese topped with a fried farm egg.

The Sunday Brunch at Bar Boulud kicks off on Sunday 11 January 2015 and runs every Sunday thereafter from 11am to 3.30pm. It costs £39 and there's also a ‘Little Brunch’ menu for children aged 12 and under for £25.
