Alyn Williams does Cornish Grill Sunday lunch at Redhook

redhoookThe Cornish Grill Sunday lunch events at Redhook in Farringdon kick off once more on a particularly strong note this year with Alyn Williams the first chef in their kitchens on Sunday 29 January 2012. Williams, if you didn't know, is the former head chef at Marcus Wareing who last last year opened his first solo venture at The Westbury hotel in Mayfair (see what we thought of it in our Test Drive here).

They're billing this particular Sunday lunch as 'A totally Cornish roast' and the menu looks brilliant.

There's potato sourdough bread with Thomas Hansons farmhouse butter with parsnip and honey soup and Fish for Thought curried crab pasties to start. The main course is Phillip Warrens roasted rare breed shoulder of pork with Crapaudine beets, roasties, broken swede, January king and cider apple choucroute (all from Keveral farm) followed by a glass of Hot Wassail. Dessert is cows curd cheesecake, stewed rhubarb and treacle flapjacks.

Tickets go on sale today at £40 per person  and are bound to sell out quickly. To book go to http://www.wegottickets.com/f/3878.
