The best London restaurants for Burns Night 2025

Burns Night is coming up on 25 January 2025. From whisky cocktails to bagpipes serenading the haggis, we round up the best Burns Night suppers to cheer up a dreary January in London. All of the below takes place on 25 January, unless specified otherwise. 

Acme Fire CultHaggis at Acme Fire Cult

Acme Fire Cult (Dalston) - On the night, their usual meat platter will have haggis added and they'll also have a special of a whole haggis with whisky cream. There will be the address to the haggis, and if you order the sticky toffee pudding, they'll have a dram of Ardbeg at a special price.  

Hunter's Moon (Chelsea) - They'll have a special supper club on the night with the menu including torched Loch Duart salmon and Cullen skink velouté, roast venison loin with haggis, neeps and tatties and a brown sugar tart. Expect bagpipes and more entertainment. (£46.50)  

The Prince Arthur (25 January) - The Hackney pub's menu includes Cullen skink soufflé, isle of mull cheddar, homemade haggis, neeps & tatties gratin, Laphroaig haggis and a classic border tart. (£48)

Doughnation (Covent Garden, 25 January) - The pizzeria is putting on a one-night-only special, the haggis pizza which features bacon, haggis, mozzarella and whiskey sauce. 

The "Hagu" at 40 Dean Street

40 Dean Street (Soho, 25 January) - For Burns Night, the Italian restaurant is serving up something a little different, parpadelle served with a classic Italian ragu made with haggis, which they're calling Hag-u and it'll be paired with a Dalmore whisky Old Fashioned (£26.50)

The Cow (Notting Hill, 25 January) - The pub will be putting up a special supper which, alongside the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties with whisky sauce, also features Anglesey eggs and steamed Dundee marmalade pudding. their resident bagpiper will be in action and there will be special whiskies.

Hawksmoor (Spitalfields, 25 January) - The basement bar is the place for Burns celebrations at Hawksmoor where, alongside Scottish beer and cockails like the New Loch Sour (Aberfeldy 12 y.o, Blackberry Wine Cordial, Lemon, £14) there will be complimentary scotch & macaroni pies from Angel's Auld Hag.  

Carousel (Fitzrovia, 21-25 January) - If you're looking for some Scottish food but not necessarily a Burns supper, Tomás Gormley of Heron, Skua and Cardinal is in London for the week. His menu includes dishes like Belhaven lobster tail, poached in lobster shell-infused butter smoked over old Mac Talla whiskey barrel staves (£85). 

Langan'sDesserts at Langan's - Cranachan and their deep fried Mars bars.

Langan's (Mayfair, 25 January) - The Burns night menu here kicks off with a complimentary glass of Johnnie Walker Blue Label before a menu that includes Scottish Whiskey Cured Salmon, Cock a Leekie Terrine, Haggis, Neeps & Tatties and Braised Venison Haunch. It also features the must-have deep-fried Mars Bar to finish. If you dine there, you'll also be able to head up to their private club after. And yes, there will be bagpipes (£95). 

The Connaught Grill (Mayfair, 21 - 26 January) - The Grill will have a special menu on all week which includes a glazed haggis dumpling, whisky cured scottish sea trout and crêpes suzette flambeed with Aberfeldy 12-year-old whisky (£140).

Lasdun (South Bank, 25 January) - The South Bank restaurant from the people behind The Marksman has a menu that includes Isle of Mull puffs, Haggis, neeps and tatties with Lagavulin mustard and more (£60, including a cocktail). 

The Rubens (Victoria, 23 January) - Start your festivities in the Palace Lounge with champagne, cocktails, and canapés before moving to the English Grill which turns Scottish for the night with a dinner including an appearance from their resident piper. (£120).

The Cadogan Arms (Chelsea) and The Hound (Chiswick) - Both pubs will have a menu that includes a Lorne sausage toastie with haggis, Isle of Mull cheddar and brown sauce as well as highland wagyu beef with neeps, tatties, haggis and a whisky Sauce. Bagpipers will be at both pubs and will include a special whisky cocktail (£85)

The impressive Scottish Room at Mount St Restaurant

Mount St Restaurant (Mayfair, 20-25 January) - The restauirant has put on a special Scottish set menu for the week which includes Highland venison with a haggis "sausage" and a raspberry & almond tipsy laird. They also have The Scottish room PDR which is the perfect space for Burns, while The Audley pub downstairs will have a haggis scotch egg.

Boisdale (Belgravia/Canary Wharf) - Boisdale always goes big for Burns and this year is no different. Both restaurants will have a special Scottish four course menu and a show all week long and on the night itself, they'll have a piper and the tradtitonal address to the haggis. Canary Whaf will also be holding a special Burns lunch on the 25th. They'll also have haggis specials on throughout the month including a triple cheese haggis toastie.

Xi Home (Spitalfields, until 28 February) - All month and into February, this dumpling restaurant are putting on special haggis dumpling to celebrate Burns. And to go with those, they're also introducing five new whisky cocktails.

Rotunda (King's Cross, 24 January) - They're putting on a special menu that comes with a whisky pairing from Glengoyne 10 year old. There will be cullen skink, haggis and trifle as well as live bagpipes and the address to the haggis.

Pivot (Covent Garden. 25 January) - The bistro beside the piazza has a menu which includes a cock-a-leekie with chicken, bacon, prunes and leeks, a haggis, neeps and tatties pie and to finish, a cranachan pavlova (a la carte pricing)

Bentley's (Mayfair, 25 January) - Once again, Richard Corrigan's restaurant will be celebrating Burns, where their "resident piper", Maggie McNaulty will be playing alongside a special three-course menu which includes a Highland venison loin with haggis, neaps & tatties and for dessert cinnamon beignets with Scottish rhubarb. 

Sam's Kitchen (Chiswick, 25 January) - Head Chef Abbie Hendren is putting on a special three-course menu which includes Partan Bree (Scottish crab soup) and saddle of venison or haggis bridie with rumbledethumps for the main course. They;ll also have bagpipes and the traditional haggis address. (£75)

The Ox (Clapham, 25 January) - This Clapham pub has special Burns Night dishes where the main courses are either a Highland venison haunch steak with a haggis, neeps & tatties croquette, bone marrow mash & beetroot puree or a chicken, bacon & haggis pie in a cream, peppercorn & single malt sauce. (All available a la carte)

Ham Yard Hotel (Soho, 24 January) - Kicking off with a cocktail from The Macallan, there's a five-course feast here, including Loch Fyne smoked salmon, Haggis, neeps, and tatties and a main course of Venison Wellington. There will be whisky pairings by The Macallan too. (£120)

Jamie Oliver Catherine Street (Covent Garden, 24-26 January) - The chef's sole London restaurant will be putting on special dishes that celebrates the best of Scottish suppliers and ingredients. Dishes include an 8oz aged Highland beef fillet with neeps & tatties, haggis faggot and bone marrow gravy and a whisky & walnut tart to finish, which you can have for free if you're wearing tartan. (All a la carte prices)

Sussex (Soho) - The Gladwin Brothers are celebrating Burns at their Soho restaurant, with extras including cocktails by Woven whisky bagpipes and a two-step highland fling, led by Richard Gladwin's wife. As for food, that includes haggis served with swede and carrots and a whisky jus or a lamb and sweetbread Wellington. (£72)

The Sun Tavern (Bethnal Green) - Another returning Burns Night event, the Sun Tavern's celebrations are mainly around drink as they'll a special cocktail menu with Aberfeldy Single Malt, with drinks including the Bobby Burns (Aberfeldy 12yr Single Malt, Sweet Vermouth, Benedictine). Thre will be haggis canapes doing the rounds, thanks to Deeney's from Broadway Market and they'll have a Scottish DJ set into the night.
