Halloween events
The Brasserie of Light is becoming The Brasserie of Fright.
Albert’s Schloss (Soho, 27 October - 3 November) - This Halloween, Soho’s bier palace transforms into Das Haunted Hotel with a week-long celebration of "frightful fun, killer cocktails and showtime that’ll raise the dead". Each night will feature a different Halloween-themed event from the Studio Fifty-Gore cabaret to Baby Fang Slam evening.
Brasserie of "Fright" (Selfridges, 31 Oct–1 Nov): The Brasserie of Light is changing its name and hosting immersive evenings featuring a three-course menu with a cocktail (£45pp), live opera, a pianist, ballet performances, and roaming actors. There will be candlelit tables and dramatic décor, all culminating in a DJ set "blending eerie elegance with modern beats".
The Fanta Haunted Factory (Covent Garden, 30 Oct–2 Nov): In a very unusual collab, there's a Halloween pop-up experience featuring Chucky, Freddy Fazbear, The Grabber, and M3GAN. You'll be able to navigate eerie factory floors, outsmart jump scares, and sample the new Fanta Halloween collection, including limited-edition flavours. Open daily (and free) at The Stables in Seven Dials.
Julie’s (Holland Park, 26 Oct): Celebrate Halloween with a one-night-only screening of The Addams Family from 6pm in the restaurant’s lower ground floor. There will ba a Halloween-themed menu by Chef Patron Owen Kenworthy, featuring dishes like Pumpkin Panisse, Blood Pudding Arancini, Crispy Chicken, Doughnut Roulette, and a Bloody Cocktail.
SOMA Canary Wharf (30 Oct): Close Ties, the hospitality collective from Joshua Bratt (The Barbary) and Jake Norman (Trullo), returns with a Halloween special with DJs, guest chefs, and cocktails. Headlined by DJ Willow, the night features Kricket’s Keralan fried chicken canapés, a limited-edition cocktail menu, and a boozy watermelon slushy on arrival.
The Hero (Maida Vale, 31 Oct): They'll have family-friendly activities from 1-4pm, including arts & crafts, face painting, and spooky cartoons. From 7pm, there will be a three-course Halloween dinner in The Loft, followed by a late-night DJ party in The Library, with Tarot readings and Halloween decorations throughout.
Viajante87 (Notting Hill, 31 Oct): They'll have a Blood Moon event from 6pm with Latin house beats, signature cocktails, and a transformed venue. Guests are encouraged to wear dramatic costumes, with one standout crowned Blood Moon Winner and winning a bottle of premium tequila.
Langan’s Brasserie (Mayfair, 30 Oct): They'll be hosting the House of the Macabre, an immersive gothic-circus experience featuring contortionists, fire breathers, live dancers, DJs, and professional make-up artists. There will be a Casamigos tequila bar, skull shots, candy floss slushies, and decadent cocktails in a lantern-lit, velvet-draped setting.
Scarlett Green (Soho, 31 Oct): Here, you can celebrate Halloween with a Nosferatu screening (the one from 1922) accompanied by a live piano score from Liam Stevens, with dinner upstairs before the film. Tickets are £58, including dinner and movie.
Day of the Dead events
Toad is one of two bakeries hosting special Day of the Dead events.
TOAD Bakery (Camberwell, 31 Oct–1 Nov): The cult bakery teams up with Espolòn Tequila for a Día de Muertos takeover, serving limited-edition Pan de Muerto, tamale-croissants, and champurrado, with free Espolòn Palomas. The bakery will be transformed with papel picado, murals, and calavera décor, celebrating Mexican tradition.
Decimo at The Standard (King's Cross, 4 Nov): As part of its La Mesa guest chef series, Decimo is hosting chef Gerardo Vázquez Lugo of Mexico City’s acclaimed Nicos for a one-night Día de los Muertos dinner. You'll enjoy a menu of tamales, ceviche, mole, barbacoa, and Pan de Muerto, paired with 1800 Tequila cocktails (£85).
Toklas Bakery (Temple, 31 Oct–2 Nov): Don Julio Tequila is teaming up with Toklas for Panadería Don Julio, a Día de los Muertos pop-up featuring Mexico City's Panadería Rosetta’s famed Pan de Muerto, cocktail workshops, a Handshake Speakeasy takeover, and DJ sets — celebrating Mexican culture, creativity, and tradition through food, craft, and ritual.
Dram Bar (Soho, 3 Nov): Celebrate the Day After the Dead with a three-floor party featuring Zacal Mezcal cocktails curated by Panda & Sons, music, and late-night pool games. The event runs 5-11:30pm, so you can extend Día de los Muertos festivities with Zacal’s award-winning mezcal in Soho’s iconic bar (and it's free entry).
Santo Remedio (Marylebone, 2 Nov): The restaurant is celebrating both its first anniversary and Día de los Muertos with a festive lunch in partnership with Corte Vetusto Mezcal and Patrón Tequila. Guests will enjoy Son Jarocho music, a Don Martinez cocktail, and a three-course mole-led menu by Edson Diaz-Fuentes, ending with dark chocolate tamal and mezcal hot chocolate.
Corrochio’s (Dalston, 30 Oct-2 Nov): The Mexican restaurant marks Día de los Muertos with a weekend of celebrations, including a communal altar, Day of the Dead party on 1 November with DJs, face painting and £9 cocktails, and a recovery brunch on 2 November featuring Pozole and £8 Margaritas. Pan de Muerto and Ocho Tequila cocktails are available all weekend.
Los Mochis (City of London & Notting Hill, 31 Oct-1 Nov): Celebrate Día de los Muertos with a weekend of mariachi bands, DJ sets, immersive décor, and Mexican-inspired dishes and cocktails. London City hosts high-energy Halloween and rooftop parties with DJs Jordi Ruz, Nady Ziani, and Kaveh, while Notting Hill offers an intimate dinner with live mariachi and curated cuisine by Chef Leonard Tanyag.
Ixchel (Chelsea, 31 Oct-2 Nov): They'll have two distinct experiences. Friday 31 Oct (£85pp) features a masked evening, four-course menu by Chef Ximena Gayosso Gonzalez, Don Julio cocktails, and a late-night DJ after-party in the Nocturna Lounge. Sunday 2 Nov (£45pp) has a relaxed acoustic celebration with the same menu at a gentler pace.
Mestizo (Chelsea & Camden, 29 Oct–2 Nov): Celebrate Día de Muertos with colourful altars, authentic rituals and Mexican-inspired cuisine at both Mestizos. Highlights include Semana de Moles showcasing regional mole varieties, a Costume Party (30 Oct), Pa’ tu Calaverita sweets-making (31 Oct), Night of Catrinas dinner (1 Nov), and a Día de Muertos brunch (2 Nov).
Special dishes
Bun House (Soho) - The Rumi Bun
Clearly inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters, very unofficially, this special bun for Halloween is covered by Rumi's purple braid and is filled with a molten purple yam.
Berners Tavern (Fitzrovia) - The Graveyard Tart
On Halloween night, the restaurant is being transformed for the night with candlelight and a pumpkin display. Specials on offer that night will include a Lancashire pumpkin risotto, a Don Julio 1942 Golden Goth cocktail and a Graveyard Tart.
