Tom Kerridge's London restaurant will have a three-course menu on the day including Duck Liver Parfait with Fig and Cherry Chutney with black truffle and Truffle Baked Camembert for the table. There's a choice of beef or turkey for the main.

Alex Dilling at Hotel Cafe Royal
Piccadilly - 10 Air St, London W1B 4DY
A new opening in 2022, Alex Dilling's impressive restaurant is also launching its first-ever Christmas Day menu. Alongside a lade District beef Wellington, there will be a lobster macaroni gratin (pictured) and Alex Dilling's take on that Christmas staple - the trifle.

The Colony Grill Room
Mayfair - 8 Balderton St, Brown Hart Gardens, London W1K 6TF
A couple of minutes walk from Oxford Street, inside the Beaumont hotel, The Colony Grill Room will have a traditional Christmas Day dinner. The menu includes Ballotine of cured foie gras, Roast organic turkey with traditional garnishes and a side of clementine curd and their own The Beaumont Christmas pudding.

Claridge's
Mayfair - Brook Street, London W1K 4HR
We're still waiting to hear what Claridge's has planned for its main restaurant, so this year the Christmas Day lunches are in the Foyer & Reading Room and the French Salon & Drawing Room. There's lunch or dinner and alongside the turkey are dishes like loin of venison, roasted breast of goose, butter-poached lobster risotto and more.

Knightsbridge - Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, 66 Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7LA
Heston Blumenthal's London restaurant has a set five-course menu that features Fillet of Beef Royale as the main and a couple of the restaurant's classics in there too. So there's a plum meat fruit course as well as the option of a Christmas version of the signature Tipsy cake.

The Connaught
Mayfair - Carlos Pl, London W1K 2AL
All three of The Connaught's restaurants are serving Christmas lunch, including their three-Michelin-starred restaurant Helene Darroze. There's also the Connaught Grill menu (with a turkey crown carved table side) and Jean Georges which has a menu that includes spiced crusted venison or truffle crusted salmon.

Holborn Dining Room
Holborn - 252 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EN
There's a lot of choice on this year's Holborn Dining Room menu, including the option of turkey, salmon en croute, forerib of beef or Spiced cauliflower steak for the main course. Other courses include Thermidor glazed diver caught scallop, and a Dark chocolate delice alongside trifle or Christmas pudding for dessert.

The Pem (St James) - Chef Sally Abé has created a Christmas Day menu that includes truffled turkey breast, goose fat fondant potato, sage, apple and apricot as well as a Christmas pudding souffle. (£150)
Whitcomb's at The Londoner (Leicester Square) - Whitcomb's has a 5-course lunch and supper menu including dishes like Filet Mignon, Turbot au Caviar, and Canard à L'orange (£175)
Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester (Mayfair) - the three Michelin-starred restaurant has a lunch which features dishes like Duck foie gras terrine pickled walnut and artichoke as well as Fillet of Cornish turbot, razor clams and parsnip and a “Yule Log Our Way” for dessert (£390)
Galvin Bar & Grill (Bloomsbury) - Inside the Kimpton Fitzroy London, the Galvins' Christmas lunch menu includes lots of choice alongside the turkey including Grilled wild Cornish halibut or Caramelised Gressingham duck breast (£125 per person)
The Dorchester (Mayfair) - There are multiple options at The Dorchester. Those include Christmas Day lunch at The Grill for £350 (including live music) and a six-course menu at the three Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse for £380.
Sea Containers (South Bank) - This three-course menu features a choice of beef, sirloin, stonebass or Roasted Cauliflower & Artichoke Tart, for the main (£115 inc glass of Champagne)
Pan Pacific London (Liverpool Street) - At Strait's Kitchen, there's a Festive Roast Buffet including a carving station that features turkey, salmon en croute, Peking duck, pork belly and a nut roast (£128 per person)
The English Grill (Victoria) - This restaurant at the Rubens Hotel has a five-course lunch complete with all the trimmings and options include a rice pudding brûlée for dessert. it's £275 per person with children under 12 half price, last sitting at 7pm.
The Northall (St James) - The restaurant at The Corinthia has a menu which includes pressed game terrine and for the main, a choice of turkey, beef wellington, turbot or a celeriac and beetroot wellington (£275 including glass of Champagne)
The Lanesborough Grill (Belgravia) - This Lanesborough's new restaurant has a four-course affair with dishes including Wagyu beef tartar and a choice of turkey, beef fillet, Dover sole or nur roast wellington for the main (£320 per person)
The Goring (Belgravia) - One a favourite of Queen Elizabeth, the royal-friendly hotel has a menu that features Glazed native lobster with Cornish crab salad and main courses that include turkey, venison wellington, Acquerello risotto and wild halibut (£310 per person)
The Game Bird at the Stafford (overseen by Lisa Goodwin-Allen of Northcote) has a four-course menu (plus canapes) for £275 per person, which includes duck liver parfait, cornish coast turbot as well as the Turkey and Christmas pudding.
Bingham Riverhouse (Richmond) - There are three options at this Richmond hotel/restaurant. Have dinner in the Garden Rooms or alternatively dinner cooked up by MasterChef The Professionals winner Stephen Edwards, either in a private igloo or in the restaurant (£125 - £150).
The Ritz (Mayfair) - If you're after something spectacular, then the Ritz should do the job. There are a few options for the Christmas day lunch which start at £495 and there will be a live band, a magician and, of course, a visit from Father Christmas.
Booking Office 1869 (Kings Cross) - If you're after Christmas in a spectacular room, then the award-winning design of this restaurant should fit the bill (From £140)

This bar and restaurant by the old BBC building has a three-course menu with mains including roast Bronze turkey breast or wild mushroom & truffle wellington, while desserts include Christmas pudding or sticky fig pudding. And yes, there will be drinks on their rooftop too (£80).

The Twenty Two
Mayfair - 22 Grosvenor Square, London W1K 6LF
A newcomer in 2022, Head Chef, Alan Christie has created their first Christmas Day menu. The main course is a Roast Norfolk Turkey, Spiced Red Cabbage, and Glazed Parsnips but there's also an option of Grilled Seabass Fillet or Baked Delica Pumpkin, Cavolo Nero and Potato Gnocchi. And as well as Christmas pudding, there's the option of Toasted Pavlova.

Sam's Riverside

If you're looking for a Christmas lunch with a view of the Thames (ideal for a walk after) then Sam's Riverside should be a good bet. Alongside the turkey, the menu features roast rib of beef, cornish hake and wild mushroom & chestnut wellington. And for dessert, there's the option of a Christmas pudding souffle with brandy butter ice cream.

Yaatra
Westminster - 4 Greycoat Pl, London SW1P 1SB
New Indian restaurant Yaatra has a Christmas day menu that features a turkey with a difference. It's a tandoori spiced roast turkey with trimmings that include ghee roast potatoes. There's also the option of grilled masala lamb rack or Chettinad lobster & beef steak.

M Restaurant
Canary Wharf - 10, Newfoundland Place, London E14 4BH
The latest M Restaurant is opening in Canary Wharf for Christmas Day for a riverside meal with some great views. The menu features a beef roast alongside the turkey with a wagyu tartare as one of the starters and rum & raisin pudding or Christmas crumble to finish.

German Gymnasium
King's Cross - 1 King's Boulevard, London N1C 4BU
The Christmas Day menu at The German Gymnasium features choices like beer fillet, turkey, and vegan schnitzel as the main course. However, for a really special occasion, the whole roasted goose should be an option - with red cabbage and potato dumplings. And yes, there is apple strudel for dessert.

Duck & Waffle

Fancy Christmas Day with a (weather permitting) spectacular view? The menu at Duck & Waffle includes offbeat choices like cullen skink or porcini mushroom ravioli (alongside turkey and tranche of turbot). And, living up to their name, there's an Xmas pudding waffle with brandy butter and rum ice cream. They also like to do up the room in spectacular fashion.

Vivek Singh is opening four restaurants on Christmas Day for a Christmas dinner with a modern Indian approach. So if you're after something that veers away from the traditional lunch, all of these restaurants are an option. Dishes include clove flavoured goose breast, grilled breast of partridge and char-grilled lamb fillet.

Benares has a Michelin-starred feast created by Executive Chef Sameer Taneja, matched with expertly paired wines. Dishes include Italian winter truffle shorba, mutton momo with winter vegetables and for the main event sealed and baked turkey biryani.

Riding House Cafe (Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury) - The Christmas Day menu here features options that include "earl grey-cured trout, spiced pear, caviar" as a starter and a "chocolate & lavendar marquise, blackcurrant compote" for dessert with traditional options available too (£95).
Kahani (Chelsea) - Peter Joseph's restaurant has a 5-course feast that includes turkey vindaloo slow braised with Goani spices and Rasmalai cinnamon chocolate mousse for dessert (£110).

This classic Mayfair pub is opening its doors on Christmas Day for a five-course menu. As well as a roast ballotine of turkey, there's the option of Carved dry-aged rump beef and a lamb cutlet or a blue cheese, truffle and walnut gratin. Finish things off with either the Christmas pudding with brandy custard or their classic Sticky toffee pudding.

This Chelsea pub, with the food managed by James Knappett, is opening for Christmas with a five-course menu. Choices include portobello mushroom on toast and country house terrine. for mains, there's the choice of turkey, celeriac and mushroom pie, Cornish brill on the bone or beef wellington.

The Flask

Work up an appetite before Christmas lunch at this Highgate pub or walk it off on the heath afterwards. The three-course menu has dishes like a Crab Thermidor tart and roasted cauliflower soup as well as mains of turkey, beef wellington, herb-crusted south coast brill or wild mushroom, spinach and lentil suet pudding.
