Your favourite new London restaurant of 2024
1 - Henri
Covent Garden - 14-15 Henrietta St, London WC2E 8QH
This opening saw chef Jackson Boxer (of Brunswick House and the soon-to-open Dove) team up with The Experimental Group at their Covent Garden hotel, The Henrietta. Henri took inspiration from the hotel's French founders to create a bistro in the heart of Covent Garden that mixed classic French cooking with some really innovative dishes. It's clearly proven very popular with you as you voted it your favourite new opening of 2024.
What you said: "While there are so many in this list that deserve to win, Jackson Boxer’s new place really has a soul and a buzz. It pairs his commitment to atmosphere with a really inventive take on bistro food that I enjoyed a very great deal - particularly the snails with veal-stock rice and the savoury cannelés, along with a thoughtful wine list" - Charlie
"Loved the ambience and quirkiness of Henri, plus the fabulous food and wines. For us, the perfect way to dine in Covent Garden" - Michael
"Have you tried their ham and remoulade? Say no more." - Lee

Alongtime Holland Park institution that had spent a few years in the doldrums, this restaurant was revived by a local and once again became a huge neighbourhood hit, drawing in the A-listers again.
What you said: "A perfect reboot of an institution. Great prices, incredible food at brilliant prices and I think about the duck liver schnitzel weekly! A real neighbourhood gem!" - Pippa
3 - Fantomas
Chelsea - 300 King's Road, London SW3 5UH
This Chelsea restaurant brought Chris Denney (ex-Fiend) back into the kitchen. It married an innovative menu with a Mayfair-style buzz that you won't find anywhere else in Chelsea.
What you said: "The vibe is amazing anything from date night to girls' night. Such a sexy restaurant" - Jessica
4 - Oma/ Agora

5 - ABC Kitchens
Belgravia - Old Barrack Yard, London SW1X 7NP
This is part of The Emory, the new hotel launched right next to The Berkeley (and from the same Maybourne Group). They invited in long-term collaborator Jean-Georges Vongerichten to create a version of the ABC restaurants he first launched in America.
What you said: "Fresh ingredients, incredible taste with spices and combinations of flavours. Always presenting new dishes following the season without leaving out the favourite, like the crab toast! Many vegan options full of flavour and innovative. My favourite is the mushroom Bolognese." - Eleonora
6 - Los Mochis City
City of London - 9th Floor, 100 Liverpool St, London EC2M 2AT
The second Los Mochis saw them take their Japanese/Mexican cuisine to the rooftops of The City for a place that proved very popular, particularly in its first summer.
What you said: "Los Mochis is unique of its kind in marrying Japanese and Mexican cuisine super beautifully. And let's not forget that is the only mainstream and luxurious restaurant which is also 100% gluten and nut-free eliminating the stress from allergic people to these ingredients." - Carlo
7 - Wildflowers
Belgravia - Unit 2, 57 Pimlico Road, London SW1W 8NE
This Belgravia restaurant saw ex-Elystan Street chef Aaron Potter team up with interior stylist, Laura Hart for a beautiful restaurant with an excellent menu. There's also a wine that's notably well-priced for the area.
What you said: "Beautiful restaurant with the most welcoming, friendly atmosphere and absolutely delicious food from a talented chef. Loads of my friends have been here and I have only heard brilliant things - a new favourite spot." - Molly
8 - Cloth
City of London - 44 Cloth Fair, London EC1A 7JQ
Taking over a classic-style building in one of the oldest part of the City of London, Cloth is an ideal place for a long, languid City lunch. Plus their chips are off the scale.
What you said: "In a city that can be cold and fast-paced Cloth is a cosy homely retreat away from it all. Who doesn't love a plate of delicately sour homemade pickles and some tender dairy cow salami on a grey, foggy London afternoon to soothe the soul? Or a plate of slowly braised beans, served with a buttery fried fillet of seasonal caught fish. Cloth is definitely serving up a warm, comforting blanket on a plate." - Samuel
9 - Sesta
Hackney - 52 Wilton Way, London E8 1BG
Pidgin closed in Hackney, but very soon after the restaurant's former head chef launched Sesta with Hannah Kowalski and it's been an immediate hit, particularly with their scotched olives (pictured).
What you said: "A great new neighbourhood opening from a young and brilliantly talented team - breathing new life into a much-loved spot with delicious food and great vibes." - Stuart
10 - AngloThai
Marylebone - 22-24 Seymour Place, London W1H 7NL
After years of searching for a venue, AngloThai's John and Desiree Chantarasak settled down in a quiet part of Marylebone with their restaurant which proved to be very well worth the wait.
What you said: "As a lover of Thai food, the reimagining of classic recipes using British ingredients drew me in and I was in love with everything from flavour to presentation." - Andrea
