My Manor - Therese Andersson's local guide to Bermondsey

Therese Andersson (Head Chef at Ekstedt at The Yard) gives us her food and drink recommendations for Bermondsey

Bermondsey CornerBermondsey Corner

142 Bermondsey St, London SE1 3TX

This small, independent and cosy place feels very personal thanks to the friendly staff. You can also stop in for a glass of wine, cheese, and charcuterie with amazing suppliers.

Flour & GrapeFlour & Grape

214 Bermondsey St, London SE1 3TQ

This is one of London’s best Italian restaurants with fresh, handmade pasta and an extensive list of Italian wines in Bermondsey Street. It has a familiar, warm feeling and you can taste it is homemade. Their pasta is great value for the quality, from £9.50 a plate.

Maltby Street MarketMaltby Street Market

Ropewalk, Maltby St, London SE1 3PA

I love visiting Maltby Street Market on my days off. It's a great place to meet up with friends for brunch or a late lunch. There is a wide variety of street food options that cater to everyone. If I’m going for brunch, I often opt for a toastie from Moon Cheese Toastie - sensational!

Spa Terminus MarketSpa Terminus Market

Dockley Rd, London SE16 3FJ

On weekends, this street offers everything you could possibly need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – from dynamic wines, fresh pasta, ice cream, honey, amazing coffee and cheese! One of the suppliers we are working with at Ekstedt at the Yard is based there and called The Wild Room – they specialise in wild mushrooms, fresh truffles and foraged produce.

Little Bread PedlarLittle Bread Pedlar

Unit 4-6, Spa Business Park, London SE16 3FJ

An artisan London bakery offering organic sourdough bread and pastries. Perfect for picking up bread for breakfast. I always buy the rye bread for breakfast and will stock up on some croissants - baked fresh so always a little bit warm.
