Previously sous chef at St John, Elliot Hashtroudi made his name with a series of pop-ups followed by an extremely successful residency at 107 (FKA P Franco). He then went on to head up Camille, the latest restaurant from the Ducksoup team, where his the menu focuses on regional French cooking, described as capturing the "rustic energy of a regional French table" using locally sourced produce. An Earlsfield local - here are his tips:
Dugard and Daughters
507 Garratt Lane, SW18 4SW (locations in Herne Hill and Putney too)
It's my local butchers, which has a fantastic array of meat. There's a bounty of game, aged beef, pork and all sorts- from cheese to pantry wonders. The service is knowledgeable and down to earth, you can't beat it!
Tir Na Nog
107 Garratt Ln, London SW18 4DW
This is arguably my favourite pub in London - it's round the corner from me just next to the estate. The pub is full of locals, a pool table and Irish paraphernalia. Taxidermy and collectables line the wall. They also serve one of the best pints of Guinness in London.
Whole Bunch
336 Garratt Ln, London SW18 4EL
Whote Bunch is a quaint wineshop that offers some incredible bottles. From natural to heavy Burgundy reds it's a must-visit. They do tastings and events but really it's the offering that draws me in on my way home. There are some class wines there!
The Country House Pub
2 Groton Rd, London SW18 4EP
This is a heritage pub that pours the perfect pint. It's an unspoilt backstreet boozer that's ideal for watching the football.
The Wandle
332 Garratt Ln, London SW18 4EJ
The Wandle is a pub that does everything. From live sports to pub quizzes to live music to a chicken wing competition on Wednesday, it really has everything. There's always a great atmosphere there and people spill onto the streets on a Saturday night.
