A week of London activities entirely devoted to the grape - count us in! London Wine Week kicks off on Monday 18 May, running through to Sunday 24 May with all manner of events, tastings and pop-ups. We've sifted through the mass of things on offer to pick out some of the food-related goings-on, we thought you should know about.
1. Rothschild evening at Aqua Shard
Mon 18 May, 7pm
Waddesdon Wine – Rothschild Collection are hosting a one hour wine masterclass hosted by Philippe Koch, Export Director from Baron Philippe de Rothschild, and Stephen Lane from Waddesdon Wine-Rothschild Collection. This is followed by a Champagne aperitif and four course dinner paired with a selection from the winery collection.

2. Eric Texier winemaker dinner at Vinoteca Marylebone
Tuesday 19 May, 7pm
Eric Texier is a nuclear scientist turned biodynamic winemaker - he'll be talking guests through a selection of his wines which will be accompanied by a three-course dinner designed by Vinoteca Marylebone's head chef Joe Curtis and inspired by regional French dishes.

3. Vermouth dinner at Jago
Thursday 21 May, 7pm
Aussie vermouth company Regal Rogue is having a Mediterranean feast in Shoreditch, pairing charcuterie dishes with Regal Rogue ‘Daringly Dry’ Martinis, duck heart prunes & fennel, green tomatoes, cucumber & basil and a sharing feast of scallops matched with Regal Rogue's wines, ending with Rogronis after dinner.

4. Château des Tourtes at Le Secret des Rôtisseurs
Thursday 21 May, 7pm
Head to Canary Wharf on Thursday for a three course Château des Tourtes pairing dinner. You'll get an introduction to the wine by the chateau owner before dinner with pan fried squid with sauce vierge, Rôtisserie-roasted duo of quails served with walnut and grape sauce, and a homemade chocolate tart, all served alongside three different Château des Tourtes wines

5. The Big ‘Byronic’ Brunch, £50

Start your weekend as you mean to go on with The Big Fortified Breakfast at Polpo @ Ape & Bird. There'll be arancini, rabbit and apricot terrine, crostini, gorgonzola & courgette frittata and salmon tartare paired with sherries from the 180 yr old Bodegag El Maestro Sierra, Ports from Quinta do Tedo and some rather lovely Madeira from Barbeito.

6. Provencal rosé feast at Heddon Street Kitchen

Here's hoping for sun for this alfresco dinner served on the Heddon Street Kitchen terrace consisting of herby mussels, clams, crab and crayfish with new season potatoes, garlic ciabatta, sweet corn and spicy sausage - all washed down with rosé wine from Château Léoube

7. London Wine Week Closing Party at Mission

Noble Rot are joining forces with Sager & Wilde serving up a list of unique and rare wines from magnum. The Big Bottles Taste Better! party also features a barbeque, your first glass of Billecart-Salmon Champagne and all-star DJs including James Righton of The Klaxons and The Clove Club's Daniel Willis.
