The best Easter meal kits and treats being delivered

We're in for another (and hopefully the last) Easter lockdown, but this time most restaurants are ready. There are a huge selection of meal kits being delivered this year - here are some of the best. 

hg walter easter boxHere's one we've had a chance to preview ourselves  - thanks to HG Walter for sending it over. It's their lamb and chicken mousse wellington with potato and celeriac terrine, hispi cabbage, lamb jus and piquillo pepper. Who knew chicken and lamb would go together so well!

London delivery

HG Walter (delivery across London) - the butcher has put together an Easter feast which centres around a lamb and chicken mousse wellington as the main as well as salmon mi cuit for starters and a pink apple tart tatin with caramel sauce & chantilly cream to finish. Plus there are some mini Easter eggs to finish everything off. (£120 for 2, order by 4pm, 30 March)

Indulge (delivery across London) - their Easter weekend menu features treats like English asparagus with hazelnuts, Pecorino and watercress and a main of Lamb Shoulder with Jersey royal potatoes, heritage carrots & salsa verde. (£45 pp, order by 9pm on Tuesday 30th March)

D&D (Delivery across London) - a number of D&D restaurants have special Easter kits, including Sartoria ( with a main of Pot roasted lamb rump), The Orrery (Milk-fed lamb shoulder) and German Gymnasium (Lamb rack with wild garlic risotto). Order by Wednesday for Easter delivery. 

Quality Chop House (delivery across London) - make sure your Easter Sunday is improved by the addition of their confit potatoes and a feast which also includes smoked mackerel rillettes, wild garlic soup, best end of lamb slow-roasted shoulder and a malted milk chocolate tart.

The Marksman (Local delivery or collection) - They've put on a pretty special pie for the weekend, Braised Lamb & Potato Pie, Wild Garlic & Pickled Red Cabbage - part of their Easter weekend feast

Brawn (local delivery only) - their main course is Baked Lamb Shoulder with Borlotti Beans, Agrodolce Onions, Sprouting Broccoli and Salsa Verde and it's fully gluten-free too. 

Wander (Collection from Stoke Newington only) - The Wander Easter banquet includes dishes like burrata & honey ravioli (which does sound amazing) alongside slow-roasted spring lamb shoulder w rosemary jus served with salt cod potato salad and a Violet Crumble cheesecake to finish (£35pp).

Hide (delivery across London) - Ollie Dabbous' restaurant meal has roast rump of Herdwick lamb for the main event and finishes off with a HIDE Easter Egg filled with meadowsweet cream & apple compote. They are also delivering a special Easter egg nest to takeaway from nearby Hideaway. 

The Tapas Room (collection from Battersea or Deptford) - The Spanish restaurant is teaming up with Battersea Spanish for a cookalong Easter feast, with dishes including truffled wild mushrooms with quail's eggs and PX glaze and a main of lamb cutlets with peas, pancetta and anchovy butter (order by 2 April). 

Dinner by Heston (local delivery or collection) - Alongside the must-have Meat Fruit, Heston's Easter menu features roast belly of lamb and a showstopping dessert of Egg in Verjus made of mango, passion fruit, white chocolate & coconut (£160pp)

 

Nationwide delivery

Simon Rogan - His Easter weekend meal includes Confit Jersey Royal Potatoes, Smoked Eel, Whipped Cod’s Roe and Parsley, Confit Leg of Goosnargh Duck and to finish Caramel-Filled Chocolate Eggs (from £75, last orders 31/3)

Smokestak - their BBQ take on the Easter Feast includes spring lamb + herb sausage, alongside native breed pulled pork, beef brisket and more (from £75). They also have a whole roast smoked lamb leg on offer (£65). 

The Wolseley - The Corbin & King at home service is delivering a feast with Asparagus Vinaigrette, New Season Leg of Lamb Marinated with Rosemary and Garlic, Valrhona Chocolate Mini Eggs and their own hot cross buns (from £125)

The Laughing Heart - their menu starts with Jerusalem artichoke velouté and parkerhouse roll before a main of Yorkshire lamb neck with wild garlic and a Seville orange swiss roll for dessert (£80)

River Cafe - Their Easter box set features either Veal Osso Bucco or John Dory roasted over potatoes for the main, with other courses including Tagliarelle with Mascarpone and Pangrattato and Pressed Chocolate Cake with crème fraîche. There are also La Molina Easter Eggs to finish (£190 for four, order by 10pm on Monday 29th March).

Top Cuvee - Their Easter Extravaganza includes Flor Hot Cross buns and a Herb Stuffed Lamb Belly (or a veg alternative), as well as their own house wine (£99)

La Di Da - London-based  La di da Sweet Treats have a personalised Easter hamper (£28) on offer. It includes their signature coated Oreos, Easter egg cakesicles and the option to personalise items too. 

BAO - for Easter, BAO are delivering limited edition molten chocolate & salted egg custard chick BAOs

The Proof - the Hackney-based pudding and cake delivery company The Proof have a selection of sweet Easter treats on offer including a show-stopping Easter-themed shag pile cake with a chocolate sponge and Mini Egg buttercream filling (from £50).

Paul - have a Spring Sharing Box (£26.95) filled with sponge Easter bunnies, Craquant Eggs and mini macarons.

Bun House - the Chinatown bakery have a cute selection of Easter chick baos on offer, stuffed with creamy coconut Kaya butter. 

Tom Cenci - the chef's been sending out Rocky Road treats and the Easter iteration features peanut butter and pretzel with roasted peanuts, pistachios and marshmallows, finished with mini eggs.
