For foodie fashionistas, we've curated a capsule collection of London's most fashionable in-store places to eat and drink.
The Corner Restaurant at Selfridges
Marylebone - 400 Oxford St, Duke St, London W1A 1AB
Selfridges always has an impressive food and drink offering (particularly with its food hall) and there are a number of enticing options to choose from at this Oxford Street department store like Din Tai Fung and the soft-serve spot Kith. Our top pick right now would be The Corner Room, which has Brunswick House's Jackson Boxer in charge. Great options here include the potato cake topped with cod's roe and there's a good brunch offering too. Plus, if you get the actual corner table, you'll have a fantastic bird's eye view of Oxford Street itself.
The Dining Hall and Studio Frantzen at Harrods
Knightsbridge - 87-135 Brompton Rd, London SW1X 7XL
Over the past few years, the Knightsbridge store has really amped up its food and drink offering - from their very Instagrammable pop-ups to new restaurants and bars. Up on the top floor, Studio Frantzen is well worth a look, particularly if you can get a table on the rooftop. Meanwhile, The Dining Hall has had the biggest renovation of late. There are top UK chefs like Jason Atherton on hot-dog duty and Tom Kerridge's fish and chips. You'll also find top sushi master Masayoshi ‘Masa’ Takayama here and their newest addition, a dim sum outpost of the famous China Tang. It's the ideal place to grab a stool if you need a break from the shopping.
Café Leon Dore
Soho - 32 Broadwick Street, London W1F 8JB
New York fashion and lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore's flagship London store in Soho also features their own Café Leon Dore. The hip walnut-panelled, marble-floored café serves up a shortish menu that they say is "inspired by Greek culture". That means Freddo Espresso and Freddo Cappuccino alongside Greek mountain tea and cold brew as well as croissants or Greek cookies. Newly open is the bar room downstairs complete with DJ booth.
Boss
Soho - 178-180 Regent Street, London W1B 5TW
Boss's huge store on Regent Street is the only one in the world to have a BOSS Bar. By day you can sit down and enjoy a coffee, pastry or jalapeno cornbread muffin. Later on it switches up to a menu of cocktails and wine. Two many Espresso Martinis and you might find yourself wandering home with more bags and less money than you'd planned on.
Brityard
Soho - 310-312 Regent Street, London W1B 3AU
This newish department store/event space on Regent Street is devoted to all things British. In their shop, along with all manner of great homegrown goodies you'll find Grape & Fig - a grazing board cheese bar which serves up the most beautifully arranged, Insta-worthy cheese boxes. You pick the cheeses you fancy and they'll curate the box with a selection of seasonal antipasti.
Harvey Nichols
Knightsbridge - 109-125 Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7RJ
Everyone knows about the restaurants up on the fifth floor at Harvey Nichols (although they do have a new pizza spot up there we haven't tried yet) but did you know about the handy 109 Bar down in the menswear department? It's a super handy spot to recover from the travails of shopping in Knightsbridge with a cocktail or glass of Champagne.
Arket
Regent Street - 224 Regent St., London W1B 3BR
With a mix of fashion and lifestyle retail, the flagship UK store of the Arket brand on Regent Street is home to an Arket cafe which is all about seasonality and sustainability. The menu is vegan/vegetarian created by chef Martin Berg who has a Michelin-starred background. Expect an edited selection of salads, wraps and sandwiches with drinks like sesame and golden chai lattes.
Ralph’s Coffee
Mayfair - 1 New Bond St, London W1S 3LU
Having originally arrived as a pop-up a few years back, the cafe offering at Ralph Lauren’s store on Bond Street is now a permanent fixture. Here you’ll find banana bread, cakes and muffins along with a range of hot and iced coffees and cold-press juices. There’s also a couple of tables outdoors if the weather permits.
Nanushka Store & Cafe
Mayfair - 30 Bruton Street, London W1J 6QR
Sustainable Budapest-based brand Nanushka has a tiny but beautiful cafe serving up fresh cookies and banana bread with a range of hot drinks - although the matcha is the drink to go for here.

Shreej Newsagents
Marylebone - 6 Chiltern Street, London, W1U 7PT
Not a clothes shop, but beloved by fashionistas for the quality and extent of its fashion magazine offering, this Marylebone newsagents has a cafe that’s regularly taken over for fashion launches.
Aida
Shoreditch - 133 Shoreditch High St, Hackney, London E1 6JE
If a cafe could be summed up in one drink, at Shoreditch’s Aida it would be the rose latte. The darling of Instagram, this rosy-hued beverage tastes as good as it looks. And it looks good. There’s also a range of cake and pastries to enjoy alongside the clothes and homeware.
Carhart Coffee
King's Cross - Unit 3, 2 Pancras Square, Kings Cross, London N1C 4AG
This London streetwear brand’s King’s Cross store is known for its collaborations with folk like Converse and APC and they’ve gone for an equally on-brand tie-in for this in-store coffee kiosk, choosing Allpress. Word on the street is particularly good so if you’re after a serious caffeine fix in KX, this marks the spot.
Rose Bakery at the Dover Street Market
St James - 18-22 Haymarket, West End, London SW1Y 4DG
Super hip Parisian cafe Rose Bakery was an immediate hit when it opened its London branch at the top of Dover Street Market. The food, including freshly made pasta and gorgeous salads, is great - but you’ll want your outfit to be seriously on point if you eat here, to match the fashion-forward clientele.
Sol's at Thom Sweeney
24c Old Burlington Street, London W1S 3RF
Sweeney’s flagship store in Mayfair features their clubroom tucked away on the top floor of the townhouse. Named after Thom's father-in-law it's a space for drinks and light lunches. Oh, and the menu was designed by chef Jason Atherton...
