In a nutshell: Stoke Newington pub from the people behind the Anchor & Hope
What's on the menu: This pub, which launched just before lockdown, has a heat-at-home menu that includes a Sunday lunch. They have slow-cooked lamb, which comes with not only root veg but also their excellent gratin dauphinoise. You can also add a crumble for dessert.

In a nutshell: Classic British restaurant included in many Sunday Lunch guides
What's on the menu: They deliver the quintessential roast with all the trimmings between midday and 5pm every Sunday. Select from a choice of Herefordshire rib eye, roast Welsh leg of lamb, crispy Old Spot pork belly, whole roast chicken as well as a vegan and vegetarian option. What's on the menu: The Parlour adapted quickly for lockdown, introducing a marketplace to replace the pub, as well as having special fish & chip Fridays and Sunday Lunch takeaway to finish at home. Recent lunches included Roast Chicken, Roast Beef, Roast Pork (to serve 3/4) or Vegan Potato Pie, all served with carrots, Cabbage, Potatoes, Yorkies & Gravy.

In a nutshell: Award-winning British pub food
What's on the menu: Recent Sunday lunches include confit shoulder of lamb, rib of Aberdeen Angus and slow-roasted pork belly but our pick would be the whole Norfolk black chicken for two. In a nutshell: Turkish family-run Stokey favourite serving charcoal grills
What's on the menu: From 2pm on Sundays the grill platters for two or four would make a hearty, and very meaty, sharing lunch. Accompany those with a selection of hot and cold meze, (definitely order the Testi grilled onions with herbs and a “special” red sauce) and finish with homemade pistachio and walnut baklava.

In a nutshell: Gorgeous wine bar, shop and cafe

In a nutshell: Trish Hilferty is in charge and is referred to as “gastropub royalty”
What’s the Sunday roast? The Canton Arms has a weekly heat-at-home menu (find it on their Instagram page) and the main dish to aim for is the seven-hour salt marsh lamb, served with potato and olive oil gratin. They'll even do the whole shoulder for you (feeding five) if you fancy and if you drop off your own pots, they'll be filled instead of new packaging.

What's on the menu: Recent Madame Pigg menus included Roast Aberdeen Sirloin of Beef, Free range Porchetta, Sticky Braised Welsh lamb shoulder and a Vegan nut roast. In a nutshell: The first Public House in London to be awarded the Michelin Pub of the Year
What's on the menu: The Marksman's award-winning Sunday roasts are off the menu at the time of writing but their amazing pies are available for the meantime. Their weekend menu features a bacon chop, a choice of large pies, hash browns and buns - as well as a bottle of Pet Nat.

In a nutshell: Modern British dining room, café and wine bar in Whitechapel Gallery. Head chef Joe Fox was previously at Petersham Nurseries.
What's on the menu: Townsend has been working on its roasts since almost the first day of Lockdown 1.0. They delivery everything on a Saturday, ready for you to finish off the next day. There's a roast beef, a roast chicken and Paddock Farm pork belly too. It all comes with roast potatoes in duck fat, cauliflower cheese, heritage carrots, horseradish cream and seasonal greens. You can also add in the ingredients to make up your own Yorkshire puddings.

What's on the menu: For the duration of Lockdown, the two outposts of this wine bar are doing a Sunday Roast at Home for collection.
