The arrival of the Pret Christmas sandwich today (3 November 2020) marks the official start of London's Christmas sandwich season. We've rounded up the best of the seasonal sarnie selection to help you make the right lunchtime choice.
GAIL's Wasteless Christmas Sandwich
GAIL's are bringing back their Wasteless Christmas Sandwich for another year. Made with smoked turkey, Mayfield Swiss cheese, chipotle aioli and bacon jam - and served in their Waste-Less Malted Wholegrain Sourdough. On sale from 5 November 2020.

M&S turkey wrap and truffled egg sarnie
New to the M&S festive range this year is a turkey curry wrap (turkey in curry mayonnaise, with sweet mango chutney, carrot and cabbage slaw) and a properly different sounding truffled egg and honey-roast ham sandwich which has a whole poached egg in the centre. As with previous years, they'll be donating 5% of all festive foods sold to Shelter. In-store only.

PAUL's Dinde de Noël Sandwich
PAUL Bakery's award-winning Dinde de Noël Sandwich is back once more - it's a sage, onion and cranberry baguette, filled with sliced turkey, smoky bacon and spinach topped with a cream cheese and horseradish sauce. They also have two new veggie and vegan creations - The Vegan Sprout Sandwich and The Festive Fromage Sandwich. On sale in-store or delivering through Uber Eats and Deliveroo from 3 November.

Tesco's root veg and chestnut wrap
The new sandwich this year is the Tesco Plant Chef Root Veg & Chestnut Wrap - what they're describing as "a vegan festive-spiced wrap filled with roasted veg, sweet and buttery chestnuts and cranberry sauce. They're also doing a ready meal of a turkey dinner in a giant Yorkshire Pudding. Available now in-store or online delivery.

Waitrose Christmas Curry Bangers & Brioche
Inspired by the German Christmas markets, Waitrose's key Xmas sarnie this year is their Christmas Curry Bangers & Brioche. Expect smoked sausage, sauerkraut, curry ketchup and crispy onions. They're also doing a Festive Chicken Feast with turkey stock mayo in potato and parsnip bread and a vegan Roasted Roots Wrap with Carrot & Parsnip Falafel. Available now in stores and on delivery.
