Where to find a great restaurant buffet in London

They’re all the rage in Vegas and France lays claim to one of the best in the world. But London has some great restaurant buffets worth checking out. Here’s our pick.

 #

Ned’s Feast

City of London - 27 Poultry, London EC2R 8AJ

The Sunday feast at Millie's Lounge at The Ned is always crazily popular. Maybe that's something to do with the all-you-can-eat counters groaning with lobsters, oysters and devilled eggs - and that's before you get to the actual roasts with all the trimmings. There's also live music to make the whole thing even more of an event. And, if it's a pizza and pasta buffet you're after then head to the alternate feast at Cecconi's.

How much: £90 per person or £155 per person with free-flowing Champagne.

 Babur

Babur

Forest Hill - 119 Brockley Rise, London SE23 1JP

This 30-year-old Forest Hill institution has what can only be described as a legendary Sunday buffet. Running from 12-4pm you’ll find a range of starters, mains (meat and veggie) and sides. Enjoy dishes like saithe fish cooked in coastal spiced coconut sauce and roasted pumpkin with black onion dressing.

How much: £21.95 for adults and £14.95 for children (7-12). Under 7s eat for free.

  Nobu Shoreditch

Nobu Shoreditch

Shoreditch - 10-50 Willow St, London EC2A 4BH

It’s a TikTok sensation so getting a seat at the weekend brunch buffet at Nobu requires serious advance planning. Once you do have a reservation you’ll be able to graze on the unlimited sushi, sashimi and ceviche spread out on the buffet tables before opting for mains like the famous Nobu black cod.

How much: £90 gets you the buffet plus a main and dessert. Upgrade to the £130 menu and you also get unlimited Prosecco, Asahi Beer, or Lychee Elderflower Cooler. £45 for children 6-11. Under 6s eat for free.

 Oxbo

Oxbo

Bankside - 2-8 Great Suffolk Street, London SE1 0UG

In Southwark, Oxbo have sewn up Sundays with a combo brunch/roast offering that ticks all the boxes. While mains are served separately, for starters and desserts everything is laid out on the ‘trader tables’ for you to peruse (and load up) to your heart’s content. Start with sashimi or salads, move on to everything from eggs royale to roast beef and finish up with a selection of profiteroles and tortes.

How much: £38 for four courses and £55 for four courses and two hours of free-flowing bubbles or wine. Children under 12 eat for free when dining with an adult.

Fazenda

Fazenda

City of London - 100 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 1GT

At Fazeda, this is their "Market Table" and isn't actually a standalone affair but comes alongside the Rodizio grill menu at Fazenda. The rodizio menu gets you a lot of meat brought to your table but it also grants you access to an absolutely huge table full of snacks, salads, cheese and charcuterie. Putting the two experiences together, it's a pretty great deal.

How much: Included in the Rodizio menu which is £49.90

 Diwana Bhel Poori

Diwana Bhel Poori

121-123 Drummond Street, London NW1 2HL

Stymied by the HS2 ill-fated works, Drummond Street might look inaccessible but it is very much open for business. What better way to support the independent restaurants here than opting for the well-regarded lunch buffet at Diwana Bhel Poori? Here you can load up on a variety of vegetarian and vegan-friendly South Indian dishes.

How much: £12.95, Friday - Sunday only.
