The best new breakfasts to try in London restaurants

We're not talking about bottomless Prosecco bonanzas or Instagram avocado on toast sessions - we mean proper, weekday breakfasts - the kind of meals that kickstart the working day in earnest. Here's our pick of the best new weekday breakfasts on offer across town.

When: 10am to 12pm. Starts 25 January with free breakfast from 25 – 28 January.

Dishes to try: Green Curry with Smoked Brisket, Burnt Ends and Curried Saffron Eggs with Lardo. There'll also be freshly made doughnuts with Kachanaburi province wild honey.

To drink: Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk and freshly squeezed juices such as Honey Dew Melon, and a Thai take on a Bloody Mary.

When:Open from 7am Mon-Fri

Dishes to try: If you're eating in, the four chceese toastie with fried egg and black mustard sounds great as do the Banana And Buckwheat Pancakes with walnuts and honey. For those on the go, the deli counter will serve up healthy breakfast bars or pastries.

Dishes to try: Try stateside classics such as grilled steak & eggs with hash brown & tomatoes or ricotta stuffed field mushrooms on sourdough with toasted pine nuts & herb butter. Sweet toothed folks will want the waffles with blackberry compote, whipped cream, maple syrup & cinnamon sugar.

When:Breakfast served all day from 8am

Dishes to try: The Regent Street cafe brought in a new breakfast menu so look out for Chia Pudding (Mixed Berries, Figs, Coconut Milk, Cashews & Pumpkin Seeds) or maybe the Lobster Eggs Benedict.

To drink: Has to be Ralph’s Coffee a custom blend and roast of organically grown beans crafted by La Colombe - this is also available for takeaway.

When:Served from 8am to 4pm.

Dishes to try: Based on chef Hus Vedat's favourite Istanbul-inspired dishes the Breakfast Platter features Pastirma, olives, beyaz peynir, fig, jam, rokka, kasar cheese, tomato and cucumber salad, served with toasted freekeh bread. Or how about the Sucuk Hash with poached egg, muhammara and spicy beef sausage hash?

When: 7am to 12pm

Dishes to try: there's a serious amount of swank to this new Soho spot so how about blinis with scrambled eggs and caviar or lobster royale? At the other end of the scale there's also almond butter toast with bananas and flax seeds.

To drink: Matcha and Mocha shakes, loads of cold pressed juices and botanicals to boost your energy levels.

Dishes to try: the breakfast dishes here are served on the restaurant's freshly-baked arepas so think eggs benedict or eggs florentine or maybe poached eggs, avocado, almonds and cayenne on arepa.

To drink: there are breakfast cocktails and smoothies available.

When:From 7am Monday to Friday until lunchtime service

Dishes to try: You'll probably know of the breakfast udon, but this City branch of Koya has a few new dishes in its breakfast repertoire including Kippers, Egg and Butter Rice or Neko-Manma – poached egg and bonito rice - both served with miso soup and also Kama Tama hot udon with bacon and egg yolk.

When: Monday to Friday 7am to 11am

Dishes to try: the Eggs Purgatorio with 'nduja, baked with spicy tomato and eggs and served with crostini. or maybe the Milano, a saffron risotto cake served with a soft-boiled egg and wild mushrooms. Instead of the Full English, there's The Italian Job - pancetta, grilled polenta, Tuscan sausage, fried egg and roasted tomatoes.
