If you love a visit to Ole & Steen, you'll be very familiar with their signature bake, the Cinnamon Social. It's already had something of a makeover for the summer months and now they're going one step further. This summer, they're introducing the Cinnamon Social Gelato.
For this new creation, the Danish bakers are teaming up with Italian gelato makers Badiani. It'll be a slow-churned Badiani gelato with whipped in Ole & Steen's Cinnamon Social - golden dough laced with cinnamon. They'll be serving it in a cup, topped with a small slice of Cinnamon Social as well as in an affogato, with a double espresso poured all over the gelato.
But, if you're going to do it properly, the Cinnamon Social Gelato Croissant has to be the way to go. That's a scoop of the new gelato wrapped inside a warm, flaky croissant.
You'll be able to find the gelato across 14 Ole & Steen shops in London and the South East, including St James, Notting Hill, Richmond, Kingston, Westfield White City, Seven Dials, Greenwich, Wigmore St, Eccleston Place, Hampstead, Northcote Road and South Kensington. And even if your local shop isn't serving it, look out for gelato bikes, which will be popping up at the other stores across the summer (they'll be sharing the schedule for this on their social channels).
How to get a free scoop
If you fancy trying out the Cinnamon Social Gelato for free, there are two ways. First off, head to the flagship Badiani gelato store in Covent Garden (2 Mercer Walk) on Friday 23 May, where they'll be giving away 500 scoops on the day. It starts at 12pm, while stocks last.
But if you can't make that, download the Ole & Steen app between 23 May and 30 June and the next time you're in-store, you can get a digital voucher for a free scoop. That's either the Ole & Steen shops serving the gelato or the gelato bike.
