New Knightsbridge spot Clap Ka-fe is hoping to go viral with its cute Japanese pastries

They already run a sushi restaurant at the top of the building, now the Knightsbridge cafe CLAP London (we feel we've pretty much exhausted jokes on that name) has taken over the ground floor too. Their newest venture, CLAP KA-FE, is a more casual sort of place where you can either grab some sushi or Japanese pastries to go or eat in.

Knowing how much Londoners love the thrill of a new bakery to try, we got an early look at the morning breakfast menu which features sweets treats like a teriyaki pain aux raisins, a chia parfait and a platter of seasonal fruit sashimi.

By mid-morning that switches up to include pastries like:

  • Shiitake salted caramel st-honoré
  • Strawberry shiso mille-feuille
  • Raspberry black sesame tart

Then at lunchtime, locals or shoppers can swing by for some more savoury options including a nigiri or bento set, chicken and egg sando and furikake roasted sweet potato with spicy mayo.

Honestly that menu sounds like something we'd give a serious going over. Obviously they'll also be doing matcha, along with sencha tea and artisan coffee.
