Seventy Five is a new restaurant inside Liberty with an Ex-Da Terra chef in charge

Seventy Five is a new Liberty restaurant with an Ex-Da Terra chef in charge

Somewhat out of the blue, Liberty on Regent Street is getting ready to open a brand new restaurant. According to The Standard, it's part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, hence the name of the restaurant, Seventy Five.

It sees them teaming up with catering group Goose + Berry and while that might make you wonder if it's just another in-store restaurant, they do appear to have brought in an interesting head chef. Joe Holness has previously been at Da Terra and Fera at Claridge's so he has a good restaurant background in his CV. As for the menu, it'll be focusing on British cuisine, specifically highlighting some homegrown produce.

We're not sure exactly where the restaurant is opening in the store (or whether it's taking over the same space as their existing restaurant, Arthur's) but we do know that the new restaurant will be decked out in 19th-century artwork and Quentin Blake illustrations.
