Seventy Five is a new restaurant inside Liberty with an Ex-Da Terra chef in charge

Somewhat out of the blue, Liberty on Regent Street is getting ready to open a brand new restaurant. It's part of their 150th anniversary celebrations, hence the name of the restaurant, Seventy Five.

It sees them teaming up with catering group Goose + Berry and while that might make you wonder if it's just another in-store restaurant, they do appear to have brought in an interesting head chef. Joe Holness has previously been at Da Terra and Fera at Claridge's so he has a good restaurant background in his CV. As for the menu, it'll be focusing on British cuisine, specifically highlighting some homegrown produce. Dishes include:

  • Goat’s cheese & almond croquettes
  • Torched mackerel with pickled carrot and chervil sauce
  • Swaledale chicken breast with salsify and thyme

It's taking over the same space as their former restaurant, Arthur's and the new restaurant will be decked out in 19th-century artwork and Quentin Blake illustrations.
