It's been some time since Angela Hartnett opened the last Cafe Murano (over five years ago in Bermondsey) but now she's getting ready to open a new branch, this time in Marylebone.
The latest cafe is opening on Dorset Street (possibly taking over the old AOK Kitchen site but we're still waiting on confirmation). Full details about the new opening are still to be revealed, but we'd expect it to be similar to the others, serving up a short, regularly changing and affordable Italian menu where recent dishes have included:
- Porchetta tonnato, caperberries, rocket
- Gnocchi, slow braised rabbit, mint pangratatto
- Chicken Milanese, rocket & parmesan salad
- Lemon polenta cake, mascarpone cream
Hopefully, the Marylebone location will have the pasta shop that the Covent Garden location features, and there should be space for a small terrace here too. We'll have more details closer to the opening.
