The new Stratford Cross development is resulting in adding some very interesting new food options to the area. We've recently had the opening of Templar from the Darkhorse team and next year we'll have the arrival of the new V&A Museum East with the Jikoni team in charge of the food.
But before that will be the opening of V&A East Storehouse this spring and running the food side of things there will be E5 Bakehouse. Already extremely popular in Poplar and the original London Fields location, their E5 Storehouse cafe will aim to be similar in look and approach to the existing bakeries and cafes. They're yet to reveal just what will be on the menu but we'll assume you'll be able to order pastries, sandwiches and hopefully pick up some of their sourdough loaves and coffee that they roast themselves.
We'll have a lot more details about this one in the run-up to the opening.
