London has a new riverside terrace bar at the Southbank Centre

festival hall riverside terrace bar

Even if the springtime burst of sunshine we've been having recently doesn't continue, it's going to be well worth knowing that London has a brand new terrace bar overlooking the river. Seventy5th Balcony Bar sees the Southbank Centre joining its neighbour the National Theatre in finally making the most of its riverside real estate. The new bar is up on the fifth floor of the arts centre but its main USP is a massive balcony affording cinematic views of central London to enjoy alongside your Aperol Spritz.

Open all day the new bar will be open for brunch, while from lunchtime onwards the menu is more sharing boards and small plates. As far as the drinks go, they're serving up English sparkling wines, hibiscus margaritas and low and no serves like basil lemonade.

So if you're looking for somewhere new to try the next time the sun is shining in London, this bar should be high on your hit list.
