Jikoni's Ravinder Bhogal and Nadeem Lalani Nanjuwany to open new restaurant at V&A East Museum in Stratford

There have been some very interesting developments in Stratford recently and the good news is that there are more to come next year. The team behind Jikoni in Fitzrovia, Ravinder Bhogal and Nadeem Lalani Nanjuwany are taking on a new restaurant, this time one that is launching as part of the upcoming V&A East Museum.

It is distinctly early days in terms of what we can expect from the opening (while parts of V&A East are open, the museum isn't coming until 2026), so this is more of an announcement with a lot more details to come.

What they can tell us so far is: "We’re excited to be in the heart of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on East Bank, with a project that will speak to the depth and breadth of the culturally rich and diverse communities in East London. Beyond serving nourishing and delicious food, our intention is inclusivity, collaboration and connectivity. "

Laura Parker, Deputy Director of V&A East adds a little more detail, calling it a "distinctive new restaurant experience" explaining that the pair will be "bringing their passion for storytelling through food while focusing on seasonal ingredients, sustainability, and supporting local producers. Alongside delicious food and drinks, there will be events and experiences that bring people together in new and exciting ways too."

Expect a lot more about this later in the year.
