Marking the official start of the warm-up towards St Patrick's Day in London, we celebrated the launch of our 11th Murphia List, in partnership with Bord Bia, with one hell of a party last night. We brought together chefs, restaurateurs, bar owners and producers, all of whom share three things in common: they're Irish, they work in London's food and drink scene, and they're very good at what they do.
Our list partners, Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, were a key part of the party, supplying the amazing Irish beef that was served up both on sticks and as a slider topped with Ballymaloe relish. There was also an extensive cheeseboard, packed with examples of amazing Irish cheese. They also brought with them VR headsets so guests could be transported from the heart of London to an Irish farm in an instant.
Five Farms were serving up Baby Guinnesses, on the rocks and a Five Farms Vanilla Cream Pie cocktail at this year's party.
Guests at the bash, held at The Marylebone Hotel, included many of the new additions to this year's list including Christine Walsh and Christina Blevins, head chefs of Chishuru and Row on 5 respectively. We're not sure what the collective noun for a load of Corrigans is, but Richard and his children Richie and Jess were all there. Also spotted were both the Wogan brothers, everyone's favourite publican Oisin Rogers of The Devonshire along with Patrick Powell, who's new to the pub game with The Knave of Clubs.
Throughout the venue, there were opportunities to try some of the best Irish food and drink, from fresh oysters courtesy of Rocks to bars from Bushmills, Five Farms and Boatyard. And when it came to raising a glass to those on this year's list, everyone was supplied with a Baby Guinness, courtesy of Five Farms, to toast this year's names.

At the end, guests went home with a goody bag groaning with good things - including miniatures from Five Farms, Boatyard and Bushmills, a can of 40FT beer, gorgeous Ballymaloe relish and - of course - a bag of Tayto crisps.
