After decades spent as a standalone store in Soho selling fresh pasta and Parma ham to Londoners, it's fair to say that Lina Stores is now a fully-fledged chain. They're currently working on their tenth opening, this time in Canary Wharf. This will be their third City space, following hard on the heels of a Broadgate branch which opened last month.
Canary Wharf residents and workers will be able to get their fresh pasta fix in Crossrail Place. According to industry title Propel they've taken over the old Breakfast Club site there.
Expect a similar deal to the other openings, so a mix of Italian food, with a focus on fresh pasta dishes and a small deli operation alongside. Recent Lina Stores openings have also come with a bar, so we'll have to see if a Bar Lina opens in Canary Wharf too. More news on this one as we get it.
